Avery Uncle Jacob's Stout release?

I have a 2013 at 16.53 ABV, we have a 15% abv here so we'll never see it. The BCBS we got in 2013 was 14.9, and the brews I got from Chicago were right at 15%. Might have to go to Va to find an UJ.

 

Saw it at Local 44 in W. Philly for somewhere around $16 or so

@CraftFan5 - City Swiggers in UES got a case a month or two ago. It sat on the shelf for a few weeks. I split one with folks at the bar and bought one to take home. Great stuff.

 

Bottles were only $8 a piece in Texas, but they were gone in every store within 30 minutes of them being in stock. I think the whole city of Dallas got 7 cases, total.

 

It sat FOREVER at a store around me about a year ago. It was the price that did people in. 15.99 or 16.99 a 12oz. I passed on it a bunch of times. Then one day some guy bought them all the beer manager said. All 12 bottles the store had.

 

Where have people seen this in Boston?

Crikey! I wasn't aware that Swiggers got anything even remotely rare. My parents and brother live in that neighborhood so I'm there all the time. I guess I'll have to start popping in again.

totally agree. no reason it should cost what it costs. sucks to trade for because everyone wants to go $4$ but if thats the case, I will keep my BCS and enjoy pass on UJ.

 

I just started seeing it on Long Island.

 

I landed the 2012 17.42% bomb as an extra on a trade. Incredible beer. Much better IMO than BCBS, and I love that beer.

 

Side-by-side with BCBS and Black Tuesday, this was a distant third. I will not be purchasing in the future.

Got 1 today in a BIF, so now I've seen & touched it. I'll have to test it against KBS and BCBS...

 

I was lucky enough to get one from an online craft place, which requires a 6-12 bottle minimum purchase dependent on the rarity of the selection. This one was a 12. Luckily there was a lot of bruery and other west coast stuff I wanted that we don't get in the east. Plus shipping. Expensive and not done very often... If you have Deschuttes and Lost Abbey to trade in upstate NY, it's good. That sheet is rare around here

I haven't tried it yet, but really like high abv Avery like Samael's and Mesitopheles.. The Beast is only ok.

 

Just saw it yesterday at Beer Table in Grand Central. You'll never guess how much.

 

I saw it there and without a price tag. Was tempted to ask the price just for entertainment and thought better of it.
