Have any of you bought an UJS from Central Market or H-E-B from this last release?

I bought mine at the HEB here in Round Rock, and our Specs had it as well but I passed because I have enough.

Still might be some hanging around at my local HEB in Cedar Park... Bought it when it first dropped for $9.99. Went back a few days later to see if they still had any and it was $12.49. I was told the first price was a mistake.

Specs Brodie had it far $11.99 but that was last Thursday. Seems the last release was $9.99, so this one has got to be 20% better!

Did CM Fort Worth get any?

Per John Mosher, HEB Burleson beer guy, on facebook - he was told 3 cases hit Tarrant -- Halls, Flying Saucer and Ron's Corner Tavern.

...but per the Avery beer finder the 3 cases supposedly went to Halls, Flying Saucer, and CM Fort Worth.

If any body can get me some UJ in the $10-13 price range (in the ATX area), let me know.
Or get some in Dallas or Houston and meet me at JK on Saturday 3/8. @mattchow
We can probably work something out.

Looks like all is out in ATX. Spec's all dry.

Someone just (as in 2 minutes ago) "Matt Chowed" my local HEB here in Austin. My beer guy just called saying someone wanted to buy all his Uncle Jacob's (8 bottles). He asked if I wanted anymore before he let them go and I said no (already bought a couple). So, I'm assuming he went ahead and sold the 8 he had left.

Pretty sure Matt Chow was posting yesterday saying he was looking for more. Hmm...

I posted earlier... but hadn't checked this thread in quite a while.

However, my beer guy confirmed it was not Chow.

Thanks. Explains why HEBs were able to sell this release.

The ABV limit varies by locality (some are 14, others 17), but I believe the Q license (which some HEBs have) allows them to sell beer/ale/wine (occasionally, only wine) above 17%. If the HEB carries sake or something like port or sherry, that may be an indicator that they have that license as those can get above 17%.

Alternatively, just figure out what license and ABV limit your store has here: http://www.tabc.state.tx.us/PublicInquiry/Default.aspx

Thanks Heretic. I didn't think any grocers could go over 17%
