We are overjoyed to introduce the 2nd installment of our Botanicals & Barrels series, Vanilla Bean Stout!

A double dose of vanilla derived from both fresh Bourbon barrels and the trio of Tongan, Ugandan, and Mexican whole vanilla beans is complemented by essences of chocolate, caramel, and molasses to round out this luxuriously silky stout. 10.8 alc/vol and available year-round in 22oz bombers.

After the brewery release in CO, bottles will make their way to AZ, CA, GA, IL, KS, KY, MA, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OK, PA, SC, VA, WA, WI, and WY.

Per thier FB page..they are doing a bottle release party on Sunday 12/13..it should see distribution shortly thereafter

Sounds delicious. Curious to see what the price will be since the other barrel aged stouts from Avery are 12oz singles.

I'm sure it'll be in $15+ price range.

I'd guess price will be comparable to the raspberry sour they released, which I think was around $13 or so. Definitely looking forward to this.

How many barrels do they have to have to make a barrel aged stout available in 22 states year round?

Hopefully $10-$11, but would not hate them if it was cheaper

That is probably a bit misleading. They could be sending one case to each state every couple of months and still that would be true.

It should hit southern CA distribution as we get most of Avery's beers and this sounds pretty good, going to pick up a bottle.

To me, this reads like the vanilla beans were aged in bourbon barrels but not the beer itself. I could be mistaken though...

    I CANT WAIT.

I was expecting 16-18% though. When I first saw this thread, I thought they were going to blow the top off the 12oz vanilla game. :stuck_out_tongue:
