Got my first bottle of it last week! I'll probably be opening it up this weekend, and can't wait!

Wife and I are drinking our second bottle and we remain mystified at the negative reviews. We love BA Stouts, and Avery in particular. Sure it is not the strongest they make but man it drinks smooth. If you haven't had it yet, give it a try. You may very well like it!

The 1st Avery beer I personally liked. For once an Avery beer that wasn't an alcohol bomb.

Too thin, light on the vanilla. Good, but not my favorite.

Good call! I love Tweak and Uncle Jacob's Stout, but those are 12oz bottles costing $13-$15 in the Chicago area. Vanilla Bean Stout is a bomber for $8.99, and is a good beer and a good value.

I've learned to view every review on this site as complete horseshit unless I know the person reviewing the beer and trust their palate. Otherwise it's a random stranger shitting on a beer they have no business drinking in the first place.

EDIT: pretty sure I was drunk when I typed that... I've seen it mostly at $12.99 for the bomber. Sorry.

    I paid $14.99 minus $1.50 discount = $13.49 (22 oz. Bomber)

    Cheers!

The ABV bumped up a tad on the newest release bottled April.. 11.5% now. 11.99 at total wine. Just wish they would go a tad bit longer in the barrel, but I do enjoy this one for sure!

Finally opened my bottle a few nights ago. It's a wonderful beer. One store still has it as well! Thinking about picking up another bottle or two it was that good. I just liked how pleasant it felt to drink with the subtle hints of vanilla bean in the aroma and taste. It reminded me of some of my favorite ice cream a few years back.

Any thoughts on drinking this fresh vs aging? I have one in my cellar from Nov. Now I'm wondering if I should be drinking it since a lot of people are saying that it's already real smooth and I wonder if it will lose some of the vanilla bean with time.
