Sounds like we'll be going up Sunday then. From what im understanding Rumpkin and pumpkyn should still be available to buy at or around town correct?

I wouldn't bank on it. Once these barrel-series beers hit distro, they usually sell out the day they go up (at least in Denver and the Springs).

Not true in Denver, some stores have Avery Barrel Series beers for weeks depending on the size of the release. However, you can guarantee that the smaller and popular stores like Mr. B's and Small Batch will sell out quicker.

A good many of the barrel releases are gone pretty quick unless stores hold back some or ration them out 2 at a time.
It sounds like Pump[KY]n and Rumpkin were produced in much larger quantities than any of the others. So you might be in luck. When you're in town post again and see if there are any more recent sightings.

^^^ This exactly... For example, Rufus Corvus can still be found on shelves here. They certainly do not (always) sell out the day they're released...

If your in Boulder for the release, you may want to check the following places to see if they have any PumpKYn or Rumpkin:

    Hazels
    Boulder Liquor Mart
    Whole Foods

    In Longmont

    PJs
    Hover Crossing
    Three Rivers

I know that Three Rivers still had quite a few when I was there last week.

I'm somewhat bummed there aren't more BA stout/porter options, but if that Czar is the Heaven Hill one they broke out a few weeks ago, I guess I'll survive.

I'm wondering if the "Tequila Sour" is Opuntia, or a different brew. Either way I have a difficult time turning down anything Tequila aged.

Mimics my thoughts exactly. Either way I may bring a nice stout or two for line sharing, in fact, given the nature for the release, BA Blood Lust may be a good choice.

At the Opuntia release, they had a keg of the "Pilot" batch of Opuntia that was basically Karma with key lime that was aged for a much shorter time. It was delicious. If they aren't coming out and saying it's Opuntia, then I bet it's the aged Karma. At least I'm 90% sure it was Karma. White Rascal is also a possibility.

Avery bottle releases are some of the most laid back releases you can attend. I bet you can bring whatever you like and no one will give you a second look.

Every damn time I'm in the barrel room I stare at that barrel labeled "Sour WR" and wondering how long before it's in my face hole. I would be perfectly okay with a White Rascal base sour on tap.

Ok, that 90% just became 10%. Must have been White Rascal.

You should be able to buy Rumpkin and PumpKYn bottles on Sunday at Avery. They were selling them in their cooler for $12 on Tuesday. My guess is because these releases were massive, over 2,000 cases for PumpKYn, guessing something similar for Rumpkin. PumpKYn was on tap too, but for nearly double the price (per oz).

The beer you guys are thinking of is Karmarita (so Karma base), was delicious.

Last question...Does Avery allow bottle shares inside as well or just out in line outside of the building?

I have seen bottle shares both in line and on the patio, but I am not sure if they truly allow them. I believe 'turn a Black Eye' to it would be a fitting saying for this release. Again, I do not know if it is allowed, but I know it occurs. Note they have some AMAZING older aged beers that you can purchase in line as well. They have stored away goodies for these releases and some have aged wonderfully.

I'm doubting you can share bottles inside.

I am betting these guys lie about the beers they have tried.
