You'd be better off with a B-complex supplement and it would cost you less than 5 dollars.

After each beer, fill the beer glass with water and finish it.

Not only do you rinse out the glass, but you keep the water to beer ratios close.

Definitely eat before hand. Sometimes though no matter what you do, you could have 3 high abv beers and one day have a slight hangover and another day feel like a champion.

You need to eat while drinking and also stay hydrated. If you still wake up with a hangover get some greasy and starchy food, any meal from McDonald's will do, ido the breakfast burritos, with a powerade. It'll help trust me.

McD's Steak , egg and cheese on a bagel is my go to !! Do not attempt to eat in car as the grease is over the top. Huh, haven't had one in awhile , guess I haven't been hung in awhile

-Don't drink on an empty stomach, a belly full of beer can make you feel sick
-Pace yourself, the beer isn't going anywhere
-Drinking plenty of water is a good idea, but try Gatorade too. Alcohol is a diuretic and without electrolytes in your system, you'll be unable to absorb water and you'll feel sick and headachey. Drinking lots of anything will flush electrolytes out of your system (even water), so putting them back is a good idea.
    -Everything in moderation

I might need to try that instead, I've been doing the burritos since college since they're cheap good and do the job, but the bagel might do a better job at settling the stomach.

As others have said, my drinking was much higher when younger. In college, I was a Nursing Assistant in a Emergency Dept. and two things that helped me was high flow oxygen for 10 minutes, or if really bad having a friend insert an IV and dumping a liter of NS (Normal Saline) into the system. Nowadays, there are Oxygen bars and IV Bars (!). So guess I was on the right path. It is, however, embarrassing to walk around with a non re-breather mask on to help others..Oh well, IT WORKED!!!

    Water will help.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you're getting the pre-hangover hangover ... that is, the hangover *BEFORE* falling asleep after a beer session. I've dealt with that same thing several times, and in general, it happens when I drink high ABV beers too fast (as in a 22 oz. bomber of 9% ABV-plus in less than two hours).

I've learned to slow down -- it seems 3 hours for the equivalent of four 12 oz. 5% ABV beers helps me avoid the hangover. That sometimes means drinking 1 bottle of beer over three hours, which at first seemed dumb, but it works.

And I drink lots and lots of water as others have pointed out. I also eat after a big beer session, and I try to avoid too much sugar. Sugar sometimes seems to create the big headache.

A hangover is a sign that you had a good night before.

Fatty foods help during drinking cause the fat coats your stomach and you absorb alcohol slower

Drink plenty of water before, during and after drinking. Also, have food in your stomach. Nothing is going to prevent a hangover but you can definitely make it not hurt as much.

The more you consume on a consistent basis, the more your tolerance will build, but the most important thing to do during drinking sessions is eat, eat, drink water, eat and drink water...Alcohol on an empty stomach and in excess will hurt you every time !

Sleep helps a lot too. I recall a rather long day where I started way to early and did not drink much water. I fell asleep really early, slept over 10 hours and woke up feeling great.

Unfortunately, sleeping well is tough if you're staying out/up late.

yeah, that's the only way i can remember the difference between acemetophin (i probably butchered the spelling of that) and ibuprofen. acemetophin does damage to your liver, while ibuprofen does damage to your kidneys. i've heard doctors say that for even normal aches and pains, it's best to alternate the two so as to minimize the potential damage done.
