Does anyone think this is remotely close? Assuming you can even find someone willing to give up a Mimosa. What about 2011 Abraxas... any value there?

Before you troll my post, I am being serious.

Obviously this is my opinion, but no. While release numbers are not the be all end all, there were 780 something BA Abraxas (yes yes, we all know not all were released to the public though) and around 450 Mimosa. As of now, it is said that BA Abraxas will be brewed again, while Mimosa has been rumored to be a one time thing (at least for the next year or two) and was released over a year ago with a lower amount of bottles available per person at the release (I believe two per person? Correct me if I'm wrong.)

Also, 2011 Abraxas (imo) adds nothing to the table. Abraxas is a beer I feel should be drank fresh rather than with age due to it's main selling points (spicy flavor) fading as time goes on.

Full disclosure - I am more of a sour guy so I may be a little biased  There could be someone out there that does not like sours that wants BA Abraxas...you never know! (also, I have had BA Abraxas and thought it very good - But I would never personally trade for it).

Why sure it's close. The value of Mimosa has plummeted ever since it went for Mornin' Delight + Assassin.

I enjoyed seeing the "reverse" ISO's after that trade. That's how you know it's too good to be true, heh.

I think eventually Mimosa will be done again, as is Ann. Amirite? Just thought I would throw it out there for debate since. I do agree with you for the most part, but I don't think it's out of the realm.

I would not trade my Mimosa for BA Abraxas. Mimosa will not be made again while BA Abraxas most likely will.

are you arguing with someone or trying to learn whether or not the trade will get done?

personally, i think you're pretty far off. i was never even interested in mimosa (don't like mimosas :grinning:), but the value disparity seems clear. maybe you'll get lucky, who knows.

You can debate but specifics about Mimosa's release greatly outweigh BA Abraxas' so you won't be helping your cause. There are no immediate plans to rebrew Mimosa right now. For this to get done with the average trader you would need to add some more BA perrenial beers to catch their eye or something like that.

    Not arguing, trying to learn.

So no immediate plans for Juicy as we know it?

Not for a while I'd imagine. There's so much going on at HF it's hard to keep track, even with how small they are.
