Looking for a little advice on this. I've searched the forums (here and elsewhere) to try and put together a fair offer, but I'm not getting much response. Just curious if I'm way off or close and just need the right set of eyes. I've made a similar offer for DBH in the past and while it's started conversations, I still haven't tried either of these beers! How many of these bottles would it take? Or is this too far over the quantity vs. quality threshold to tempt someone holding a BAA or DBH? I usually have a pretty good idea of what it will take to land a bottle, but this one has me scratching my head. Any and all opinions welcomed! It's going to be tough with that list. Even an offer of 6 or 8 would take the right set of eyes. Mostly because anybody holding BA abraxas at this point likely already has half of that. The best pieces are Casey's, Cherry Rye, Huna, DB Jesus, KRE, JK, and Fred's. I'd say maybe offer a six bottle shipper of the above and mention that you've never had it in your post. Hopefully somebody can help you out and they offer to make up the $4$. I just traded one for the Pugachev set if that helps. It's definitely one that is worth what it takes. It also should come out again in May or June based on history. Sitting in the barrels now. Good luck OP!
Thanks for the feedback! So Casey Mont Cherry, Cherry Rye, DB Jesus, KRE, O&P, and Fred's? With the offer of switching any of these with Casey Saison and/or Eastbank. Would love to hear from others. Do you think this six bottle shipper will get it done? Anyone have details on timing/quantity for Summer '15 BAA?
People like options so putting up this list and doing a pick 5 or pick 6 might get it done with the right set of eyes. Some people out there might still have mutiples and are just looking for the right deal to help replenish the cellar with a good number of high quality brews.
You have a pretty nice list but a lot of those beers are/were available in St Louis (though limited) Of everything on the list I'd say the Casey beers are probably your best chance. I know of sour freaks that pick up limited stouts just to trade for sours (and stout guys that pick up Side Project beers to trade for stouts) and the Casey beers would definitely appeal to them. I don't know much about the Casey beers but I'm going to alert one of my buds to this thread in case he is interested! Good luck OP
Thanks for the input. @evilcatfish, please do let me know if your buddy is interested in any of this!
I just typed out a response to this, and I almost hit post reply before I saw who it was man. I'm shocked you haven't locked it down with that list. I still want that cherry rye
