Other then BA cakes and DBH what would be a realistic offer for BA Abraxas. My buddy is opening a brewery in the next month and that bottle is one he wants to pop opening night with his wife and co-owner. He's a huge fan of the regular and has been out of the trading game for a bit. That's where I am coming into play. I'm looking to help the man out but I don't want to short change anyone. Would a CR,BT,GM be getting close or have all trade values just gone stupid.
Kenny, I had BA Abraxas a few weeks ago, and it is so much better than CR, BT, GM. You might find someone to trade it for a combo of those, but I wouldn't, FYI.
Oh yeah. I'm talking bout throwing all 3 at it. With some other love. Just wasn't sure what it took. I tried it, and it was good. Not DBH good but good. DBH is still my favorite stout I have ever had. Followed close by LiL
I was just seeing if that's even in the ball park. Or if like the cakes is gonna take ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ and a brick of gold
It all depends on who sees the offer. I've gotten messages a week after I posted about trades I hadn't got nibbles on. Throw something in the ISO:FT forum and see what happens. I'd offer CR, BT, GM with a long list of other beer you have to offer as + and tell them to take their pick.
Personally, I don't think you'd have much of a chance getting someone to bite with the CR, BT, GM base of the trade. Those bottles are relatively easy to trade for, and someone could aquire all three of those bottles without having to give up their big guns (BA Abraxas).
sorry to threadjack, kind of on topic though- any opinions on Fou Foune + Vignerrone for a BA Abraxas? I won't say which side I'm on, let me know if that seems fair. I only traded for one BA Abraxas when it first came out not sure what it's going for now.
As a guy who loves his Cantillon, that trade sounds reasonable on both sides. A little generous on the Cantillon side, but BA Abraxas has always been a tough get.
I thought BA Abraxas was nearly identical to regular Abraxas. So save your ammo and buy some of the regular.
I'm right there with you. While I thought it fantastic, I didn't see the hubbub. I am perfectly content with regular Abraxas. That's just me though. Good luck, Kenny!
This is how i felt after drinking double barrel mexican cake. But BA abraxas is another story. BA Abraxas is so much more complex than the standard version which I think is dominated by cinnamon.
