A fair point but on that logic you can easily end up with a situation where VB beats out Clout Stout based on wide distro. Clearly, restricting it skews the results but I think that is preferable to having a situation where votes are cast based on hype (or worse nothing) rather than actual experience. If we move to that model, we may as well just use the BA average scores.

Poor Hop Hog. In the hierarchy of beers, IPAs are always going to lose to stouts. As a great man once didn't say 'Never bring an IPA to a stout fight.'

 

Or perhaps, non-imperials are always going to lose to imperials.

Having said that, Warhead seems at good odds for putting the lie to that theory.

I put sours above stouts in the Beer Geekery Hierarchy, so I think Warhead fits in with that.
