BA Bigfoot in MN?

I called Sentyrz (thanks Douggo for the tip on Wednsday) when I got off work yesterday @3:15.
Peter said they just came in. So when I got there @ 3:45, I just happened to be the first one.

After that- well it doesn't take a rocket scientist to call the 5 liquor stores in the surrounding area and see if they just got shipment- or does it???

The rest I got 1 at a time over the last 2 weeks.
Think what you want....

I did give up the 3 spots I got them from.
What else do y'all want?

OK, I'll be the direct one: it's one thing to grab a dozen Darkness when there are 14K or 17K or whatever bottles. It's a whole different matter to sop up an entire case of something so limited.

98% of the time if I see something super-limited on the shelf, I'll buy one & not deprive others of the chance to try it. And most of the people I know from Twin Cities would do the same.

Consider: you probably kept a bunch of people who really wanted to try it from getting a shot at barrel-aged Bigfoot. I'm only midly interested, since I'm not crazy about Bigfoot itself, but if this was something I was crazy about, I'd be pissed someone was running around buying up 1/36th of the entire state's allotment.

Think what you will.

First off, there's 10 - not 12.
Instead of whining- the smart ones did what I expected, and asked me to hook them up- which I will.
That drops it to 6.
Second, I PM'd the OP and told him that I would take care of him.
Down to 5.
I got 1 for my brother who is out of town, 'cause he's my bro.
I also got one for a trade with an out of town BA.
That leaves 3 for me. One for the near future & two for the cellar.
Who knows, I might even end up trading one of those.

And I have absolutely no problem with that.

 

Whining? Perhaps dictionary.com should be your next stop. In case you missed it, I don't really care if I try BA Bigfoot or not.

If you're really hooking a bunch of people up, good for you. At the least, it's really poor form to shout about how much of a supremely limited beer you've just gobbled up, while others are trying to land just one bottle. Kind of like getting the last Darkness wristband, then laughing & pointing at the guy behind you. Even if you give him a bottle later, it's still a jackass thing to do.

 

Just don't post a picture bragging about your limited release haul next time.

A lot of us won't get BA Bigfoot, and we don't need to see 10 bottles in your possession as a reminder.

 

This. It's fine to chase/get it, just don't flaunt it in everyone's face. It's a junior high move. Be classier than that.

 

I had the chance to wipe out my stores remaining allotment but I left one for a lucky soul.

I'm glad I could help you and some others on securing a bottle, but they majority of the replies hold true merit in their disgust of my first post.

Obviously, in hindsight, I should've never posted the photo.
It was a total rookie move & I truly apologize to anyone offended.
That's not who I really am, but apparently I made a mistake in judgement.
I then made matters worse when I got on the defensive, when people started to question my character.

If I happen to hear of any more in town, I'll let someone else know so they can post.

 

That's what I'm talking about. Oftentimes, it seems the best way to get a few BAs together for a tasting is to start with a brawl.

Hey, no big deal, everybody gets excited about their beer...& didn't mean to question your character. I reserve that for people around here I actually know. I just like to see good limited beer spread around, & that seems like what you're doing anyways (though not evident from that first picture).
