I missed the cut off by about 2 hrs and figured what the hell. I got the webinars to go with it and although I would have passed the test without listening to them, it did broaden my understanding of some of the European beers and differences. Hopefully, as some others have said, it can help get my foot in the door somewhere.

Yeah I took it for $10 which just seemed too good a deal to pass up. I was nervous about not having studied but even at 2am and a couple beers in I got 93% or so the first time through. Well worth the money though as it is a great resume builder for someone looking to enter the industry and forced me to begin a process I was looking to one day go through anyway.

Yeah, I'm not paying $70 for the test after talking to people about it. To be fair, I'm not in the industry so it would be purely for my own amusement. I would have done it for $10 but missed the window.

I took the test, and it changed my life

I took it since it was only $10. I wouldn't have done it at $70. I'm a bartender, but my place is not very craft oriented, so it was mostly just for shits and giggs.

If I owned the joint, that ship would've sailed long ago. Alas, I do not. I have made some progress featuring a few craft breweries, but I am unfortunately pretty limited when it comes to overhauling our inventory. As much as it sucks, Bud Light pays our bills.

I don't work in the beer industry, but I took the test for $10 and passed with a score of 95%. Prior to the $10 day, I'd been considering taking the test, but was having trouble choking down the $69 cost. I was mainly just curious to see how my beer knowledge stacked up. If I worked in the beer industry, I would definitely go for certification at the next level.
