I heard from a friend like a month ago that catadromous members are going to have a different ba huna version than the regulars. I heard catadromous members will get a double barrel version.

After hearing this from three bartenders now, I figure it's probably common knowledge.

I heard it will be aged in apple brandy barrels then aged in rum barrels. Has anyone else heard this?

Figured we would get a different treatment than the public release. Or should I say hope.

I'm predicting that in less than a page, this thread will have gone off the rails and will be renamed BA Huna Humor.

Yes, sorry peon, but Catadromous members will get the Double Barrel version why the lowly Catador members only get a single barrel version. Membership has it's privileges.....

I just had the Rum Barrel aged last night. Second favorite treatment of Huna besides the Apple Brandy... now this? I'm going to cry tears of joy.

Was wondering the same thing. Was holding off trading for Cali Brandy Huna assuming I might just get one through the club. Now if it's a different treatment, of course I must have both lol. I'll wait a bit and see before I hit the boards for Cali Brandy Huna just to be sure.

I heard the same. It's either 1) true or 2) misdirection to keep it a surprise.

    We'll know when we know.

Just looked this up. The catadromous version is a double pickle barrel treatment aged on dumpster turds wrapped in burnt hair. Enjoy!

I have been told it is a double barrel version of bourbon for sure, and based on their current barrel stock, Apple Brandy, Rum, or Tequila for the other.

I am just excited for whatever the CCB guys think is epic enough to qualify as the final BA brew in the FIRST ever El Catador club release. In all reality they have lived up to everything they promised and more. Though I would enjoy more El Cat exclusive growlers/taps... :D

Did they ever say the final beer would be the BA Huna? I know they guaranteed a BA Huna, but i don't remember it being stated as beer #5.

It would make sense since the Brandy Huna came out in June? Catador membership sign up was July?

I think that's the right time frame. I just hope that one of the barrels is Apple Brandy

Don't think the order really matters that much. Besides, as they keep saying, they'll release them when they're ready.

Yeah they have never specifically said that BA Huna would be the last. All they have said was that a BA Huna will be 1 of the 5.

BA beers are ready "when they are ready". So who knows when the man will say its ready. I'm sure it will be fantastic! Too bad I'm not a Catadork. (Just playin' guys)

Agreed, butthurt is the BA's who are condescending and have a poor attitude. This isn't rc51. I teach elementary school and there are always those kids who, when you take away their recess time, will say "I don't care, I don't like recess anyway." rc51 states obviously, "I like recess, and next time recess is available,I will be the first to sign up!"

I heard the Catadromous Huna was a blend of rum aged and boubon aged Huna along with a cigar rolled on the thighs of an 18 year old Cuban virgin. That's when I called bullshit, there's no such thing as an 18 year old Cuban virgin...

......aaaaand as I predicted: off the rails in less than a page. Hilariously off the rails. Because wiltznucs spelled Puerto Rican wrong.

It's true, and CCB admits it. There will be at least one barrel aged Huna release for Catador members.

Fishes mate for life, just like Tasmanian devils and dodo birds. Also I hope the BA Huna is rum and congac aged.
