BA Huna rumor...

A lot of folks don't know that MZ is the base beer for Hunahpu's.

I'm curious where the El murcielago barrels are hidden because I haven't seen those on tours.

 

If it is it's been there for awhile and I would think we will see it before Huna day.

 

2 things i know for sure.

1. It will be ready when it's ready
2. It will be fucking amazing when it's ready

Outside of that, it is all conjecture at this point and not worth my time.

 

Not likely, if its labeled as AB Zhukov its probably going to be AB Zhukov...

 

I disagree, but hope you are right. AB Zhukov is one of my favorite beers of the past few years. We'll see.

Gunhaver's post on here seemed to indicate it would not be, but who knows.

 

just saw someone checked in a Double Barrel MZ from Darkness day.

 

Which means what as far as this release?

DB Zhukov was once bottled, could very well be a tick from that bottle.

 

?? i have no f'n clue if its related or not... but we've seen AB MZ, DB MZ, and now DB Huna... seems like its all connected... and if I were to guess, i'd say we won't see AB MZ as a release, as it was probably taken out of the batch that was destined for DB Huna.

Where did you see the check in and how was it rated? Im opening one on 11-11 as part of a 7 bottle Zhukov tasting.

I went on untappd, clicked on Cigar City and looked at recent check-ins, just out of curiosity. I think it was a few pages in. It was rated either 4.5 or 5 star i believe.

 

That bottle wax would be so much cooler if it were two toned. I am thinking that dip first into red wax, let it harden, and then dip it into gold wax. I would probably never open it if that happened!

And orange and blue are nearly perfect complements, so it makes sense aesthetically.
