FWIW those trades by Lare453 did get done. I heard it from him. I believe one was an offer he responded to and another an ISO he put up.

Okay this thread gets better and better! Okay so I'd love some input. I got an offer from someone for 1 ba huna for 1 CR+ brandy Bois. I think im do it. I'm not giving away the farm here right? Judging by the limited amount I don't think its crazy but am I wrong?

 

If you feel ok with that then it should be fine.

 

IMO, that's way overpaying (and Brandy Bois alone ought to get it done)

 

If you're comfortable with it, go for it. There's a pretty large discrepancy in the cost of your bottles vs. his, though, so I would at least ask for the $ to be made up for in other Cigar City beers, etc.

 

Sounds like you already have doubts. Don't panic trade. And maybe try to figure out if you really want BA Huna or if you just want to land a whale.

 

And if a beer that has 3000 bottles is a whale.

Hint: I don't think it is...

Still a lot considering. I do realize that the way they are selling it is a pain, but it's not like unobtainium.

Jester King Whiskey Barrel Rodeo was 100 cases (1200 bottles) and didn't cause people to flip out.

Yes, I know it's probably not as good as BA Huna, but still... lol

 

Yeah releasing about 12 cases every few days is an entertaining pain in the ass.

Well seeing as I'm at ccb a lot and I only talk to the employees... I'm not gonna believe anyone else. Wasted a couple days before they released it listening to other people. I really don't care if you believe me.

 

Lets say its a sub 2000 bottle release, even then, still absurd some of the things people are seeking out. Do these deals even get done? Maybe it's just me trying to be fair, but I think 90% of the FT offers are insane. On the other side, a ton of the ISO's seem a little low too. A BA Kopi, Grey Monday or a Wanderer should get it done. But a combo of the 3 is absurd considering its a 2000-3000 bottle release

 

I traded a GM hasitly as soon as the first wave of bottles hit the trade forums becasue I didn't do my research and pulled the trigger too quick.

now I regret the trade but honored it none the less.

2000 ish bottles it shouldnt even be able to pull a BA Kopi IMO. Good as it may or may not be. (All 5 rankings from the Florida homers at this point) Its not worth more than an Assasain or something similar simply because of sheer numbers.

I'm saying that and I have one that I overpaid for but plan to drink.

 

A GM may be a bargain if some of the FT: BA Huna posts are getting done. I saw one asking for a GM+Wanderer or GM+BA Kopi. Plus yesterday's BA Huna thread just wanted sours. But obviously extremely rare ones.

 

I highly doubt any of those are getting done. Maybe the misinformed are doing them because they think this is a BA Huna with numbers like the other ones sub 200.

If you look at most of those threads there are no responses and noone is saying "this one is done"

The inherent issue that is going to happen is that most of these bottles are going to go to the same 100 people so they will attempt to hold them for ransom to drive up the price. I can see it happening already.
