So apparently Grapevine had this on the 12th but I've been trying to track down a bottle and haven't see it anywhere. Does anyone have more info on what looks like a super limited release? I've called about 10 places so far! Thanks.

Davidsons also had it, but that was also about 2 weeks ago.

Hazel's in Boulder had it last weekend. I picked one up and then put it back, there were at least ten on the shelf.

I got one at Superior last year. Probably won't get any this year, unless it's $3.99 for a forty.

You didn't like it very much? I am looking because One of my trading partners is looking for it and I wanted to surprise him.

Hazels was out when I just called.
ETA: just scored one at Wyatts, thanks guys!

Got one last year also. What a disappointment.

Had a 2008 bottle, pretty tasty brew. Would buy again.

    Cheers!

As I recall, it was pretty damn harsh. It definitely didn't leave a good impression on me. At least it wasn't that pricey.

Love the regular Ivan, and would certainly try the BA version.

Has anyone seen it in Fort Collins yet?

I called Supermarket, Craft Beer Cellar, and Wilburs, all of them said they didn't have any.
I visited Thompson Valley and Liquormax in Loveland, and called "Total Beverage World". No dice.

The closest place I found was Wyatts in Longmont, which is 45-50 minute drive probably for you. The BA rating is really solid, so I wouldn't necessarily discount trying it; plus at $13 for a 750, it's not crazy expensive. Maybe cellar it for 6 months before consumption?

I love BA Ivan, right up there with Dry Dock in terms of value ($12.99) great barrel character mixed with dry dark chocolate notes and sweet vanilla, really disappointed it didn't come to CO last year, really happy it finally showed up!

I would add though it's best fresh, I recently had one aged 2 years and it's lost a lot of the nice oakiness and mellowed too much.

I think I have two bottles of last year's that someone could have if they want them.

Just picked one up at Wallaby's for $12. It's not outstanding, but solid enough for $12/750ml.

I opened my BA Ivan a couple of weekends ago.
I don't know if it was the green bottle giving me Heinekin flash-backs or what. But it smelled skunked when I opened it.
Unfortunately, it kind of had the taste too. Besides that, it was as I remembered it from the last time I grabbed a bottle 2 years ago. A little thin (like it's non-BA namesake), with a bit of the barrel and some chocolate in there. The further I got into it, the more I was able to ignore the skunk.
I still hold that it's not bad for the price. I will, however, stick with my current standard of grabbing one a year if I come across it, but will not spend any time or effort looking for it. Unless it skunks again, then I'm out altogether on Big Sky.

Grapevine had a box sitting in back last week. At 13$ its a great deal for a 750.

Haven't cracked mine yet, but noticed when I was packing a box up for my brother that they only released 3000 bottles!

Any idea when I should open it?
Is she ready for enjoyment now?
