You won't see those kind of trades. That level of lunacy is reserved for Florida traders.

EDIT: Nevermind. The Florida traders will drive 8 hours each way for those bottles, hire some local homeless people (yes this did happen for you newbies out there) and then post their own FT: Pappy MC ISO: Don Q 1:1

That was fun to watch. They weren't homeless, but I am guessing they were not gainfully employed people either. Pretty sure they showed up in like a moving truck. When they made it to the front of the line, a couple of us handing out bottles were confused. Then someone later told me about the craiglist thing, and everything made sense.

Quality individuals in Tampa have done the same thing. They basically pick up people hanging out at the Home Depot around the corner from CCB that are looking for work and give them some cash to wait in line. Not sure how much of that goes on nowadays but it has happened. It's also happened over at Cycle in St. Pete as well for some of their limited releases. Fortunately it's pretty rare but it just goes to show how many people truly need to get a life outside of craft beer. This "hobby" has become all encompassing for many. It's quite sad.

No bottles but today Westbrook had Cognac BA Cake and 2015 Bourbon BA Cake on draft. Both were excellent, Cognac was particularly killer. They also had double barrel Anfernee and 2014 Cake. Solid Saturday.

Sounds to me like they are doing a fine job of giving the locals a chance to drink them. Good looking out.

Was the bourbon cake on draft the Double Chocolate Bourbon or is this another variant?

And if it was Double Chocolate Bourbon, were they barrels from Pritchards? I was under the impression they weren't releasing barrels for beer aging, but I could be completely off.

Bourbon on draft they had was pritcher - not DC cake. I have no idea what barrels were used in the double barrel. We will just have to wait and find out.

The pappy was better than assassin or sr71 imo...of course I will be called a homer, but I won't be trading any bottles of them I get my hands on!

I'm hoping that all of these keg tapings are to appease local demand and that they will give all of us a chance to buy bottles.

So you hope that all the keg tappings are to appease out of town demand and that will give the locals a chance to buy bottles?
