I have seen a post or two up already offering things that you could get regular Mex Cake for. That won't be happening.

I hope people don't start agreeing to too many pre-trades before actually getting the bottles. I have a feeling that 4/variant allotment is getting dropped on release day.

Not sure. Maybe you should throw some more coal into that engine and get that train moving.

Yeah, I don't think people realize that each variant is is 600 bottles or less. "40 cases bourbon, 40 cases apple brandy, 50 cases red wine"

That being said people can start pre-trading them for the likes of BVDL etc..., right?

Based on the interest in these beers, I also wouldn't be surprised to see that 4 bottle each allotment get knocked down to something like 2 come release day. Should be interesting for sure...

JD Mexicake would go 1:1 with JD Blackbeerd or any other beer thats been ruined using JD barrels.

I don't think it's going to get anywhere near that much hype behind it. One potential problem is that apparently they didn't keg any of it, so presumably it won't be available in the tasting room that day (unless they did specifically keg some for that). That means there won't be a ton of attendees trying it and saying how awesome it is and giving it 5 ratings on here and Untappd, which adds to the trade hype.

I know personally if I do manage to get any I am saving one bottle of each variant for myself no matter what, because I want to try them all.

Yeah, what they were thinking putting JD barrels and then a cabernet is beyond me. Apple Brandy will probably work, but I'd expect the other two to be fucking gross.

Yes they will be gross, everybody send me their gross Jd and cab bottles....

Seriously though, I'm not sure ill even try to acquire any of these if the value jumps too high

I do hope all of YOUR trades are full of "win".

There isn't nearly enough of that on BA.

If trading close to $4$ and close in rarity means full of "win", then yes they are.

I have had Apple brandy and Cabernet barrel offerings from Westbrook before and they have been great. The JD will be interesting to say the least.
