What was the availability of this, and how hard is it to acquire. I'm going to be in town in a couple weeks and don't want to make low ball offers.

    Thanks,
    Andy

It was pretty hard to get from what I remember. The suburban Binnys and other suburban stores only got like 1 case a piece. Not sure what the city saw. It was limit 1 per person and in the back everywhere I knew of.

There have been two releases, a 12oz release and a 22 oz release.

I couldn't find a place that was more than 1 bottle per person in the nw burbs. And most places didn't have it available for more than a day

And I feel pretty lucky to have been able to snag each. The 12oz was a little easier to acquire, in my opinion. It hung around for a few days out here in the western burbs. By the time they released the 22oz, the word was out and they went quick.

Agreed. I don't remember where I was able to grab mine from, maybe the beer cellar, but I remember I went right after I got out of work. At the time i was working 6-230.

Traded for mine and I live within Pipeworks distribution, several places by me had it and sold-out in a matter of hours.

It was pretty hard to get, but most BA Pipeworks beers are, really. The problem is most people only got a bottle or MAYBE two due to bottle limits and I feel like most of the bottles are gone (drank).

I don't want to rub it in or anything, but I cracked open my 22oz bottle on Christmas and it was one of the best barleywines I've ever had.

will second that it was pretty tough to land. Honestly, your best bet (provided that you are more interested in tasting the beer rather than owning it) is finding it at a restaurant or bar. With the restaurant mark up on it, I feel like they've priced it out of the range of only the most dedicated beer fans that understand what it is and how difficult it was to score. I was lucky enough to find it on the bottle list at roots (a pizza place), and the last time I looked at the local option's beermenus (around the time of FoBAB) it was on their bottle list too.
