BA Naked Evil Chi Western Subs

I'm down in Peoria visiting in laws this weekend.

Went into Friar Tuck and there were a couple distributors doing an Erdinger tasting.

While talking, one of them mentioned Hoppin' Frog. I said I wish I could find some BA Naked Evil. He walked over to a stack of unopened BA Borris cases an pulled out an unmarked white box, popped it open and pulled out a Naked Evil.

Ended up getting 3 bombers. They also had Flossmoor Station BA Imperial Schwartzbier.

Pretty damn good haul.

 

I don't get the KH comparisons at all: there's barrel on the nose, but it tastes sweet as hell, almost acrid. Whereas KH is smooth, complex and delicious. I shared a bottle of BANE tonight and it tasted like soda next to KH. Full disclosure: i've shared KH once, I don't own any, so I'm not hyping trade value. Maybe BANE will get better with age, but right now it seems pretty rough, and at that price just not worth it.

 

Anymore in the west suburbs? Anyone want to trade me one? I missed out!
