I just ran across this today.......for $25.99. Is that for real? Seriously? $25.99? It was $17.99 last year. Did I miss an explanation for this somewhere earlier? WTF is happening to craft beer when Hoppin' Frog can sell a beer for $26? I haven't had this batch yet, so I have to admit that I don't know for sure that it isn't worth $26, but I was shocked today when I saw that. Is this normal or just Indy?

All HF beers are overpriced. Simple solution is to not buy them... works for me.

Around $23 here. Sweet Evil was $15.

In market it's pricey - out of market it's got a mark up like nothing I've seen.
If you need, I've got and am always happy to hook up a friend.

Sean, I can tell you that the cost per case was $200, even more expensive than last year. And if you got it for under $20 last year it was priced incorrectly.

Thanks for the good info. That really sucks. I want to try this one, but not for the price (says the guy who bought multiple Fruet).

I can't make it. Thank you in advance for what I assume may have turned out to be a pour of the stuff!

Didn't you go to the release? Do you have any info on what's up with the pricing? Was it expensive to make or are they following the 50/50 and Bruery methods?

Didn't really ask about it, honestly. In general their prices are on the higher side though.

$19.99 here in Ohio. I definitely picked one up. It was really good... but worth $20?? Hell no. What annoys me about Hoppin Frog is that they think it's cool to charge $20 for a bomber. C'mon, at least give me a fancy 750ml bottle if I am paying fucking $20 for a beer. Absurd. I doubt I'll buy another one ever again, at least not on my current budget.

And $14 for Sweet Evil? Effin blasphemy.

And to top it off, I heard Sweet Evil was drainpour.

I thought it was pretty good. It was extremely sweet and a little boozy though. It could maybe use a little time to mellow out, but it definitely wasn't a drainpour, IMHO. I hate HF's prices, but I like to try each of their beers at least once..

For those complaining about HF's prices (rightfully so in my opinion) in what appears to be an act of charity from Freddy, I hear rumblings that the BA Outta Kilter will be $14 a bottle or so.....

I have also been seeing a few kegs around. I'd rather pay $8 for a glass than $25 for a bottle. I love Fred - one of the best brewers anywhere, but dude freaking jacks his prices and uses international distribution to sell out.
