BA Neapolitan Stout

Barrel version isn't as good as the regular or on tap nitro. I enjoyed it, but wouldn't seek it out again.

Thanks, was able to get a friend of mine to pick up a couple of bottles around town for me since I won't get up until next weekend.

Didn't see this currently listed on tap at the pub. I was thinking of heading over to Saugatuck, but maybe I'll check around Kazoo to see if it's on tap anywhere around there.

 

Oakland County anyone? Heard from a bottle shop it was supposed to arrive Wednesday but didn't.

 

People are going crazy for his stuff... Hit Lansing today. My shop posted it up and it was gone in 2 hours*. They said if anyone got it they only got a case.

I grabbed the last bottle of black butte 27 instead.

*one case with a 2 bottle limit is only 12 people but still...

 

I actually loved this beer when I had it at the Bells festival! Hopefully I can snag some, but I seriously doubt it.

 

I still have 10-15 bottles from last year. I didn't think it was anything to go crazy over. I didn't even bother going to the brewery to get it this year. I figured I could buy it in distro easy enough. Maybe I was wrong. Oh well.....

 

Is it best fresh? It's barrel-aged, but I can't imagine at 6.5% it would hold up all that well.

Disappeared in lansing pretty quick. I was lucky enough (I suppose) to find 6 bottles.

I like it, but not overwhelmed. The barrel seems to blend some of the flavors and, despite the low abv, is pretty full bodied.

My wife actually loved it, but this will be staying on my side of the beer fridge.

 

I had it at Bell's 30th Anny party and thought it was pretty good. I opened a bottle the other day and it wasn't quite as good as I had remembered...decent though.

Opperman's Cork 'N Ale did an Opperman's Barrel-Aged Neapolitan Milk Stout, like they did with BBPt5, but I have yet to try their version. I'm going to go pick some up today though.

 

Looks like they made an Imperial BA version on tap in Gr today at flat landers

Need some help, dudes. At a bachelor party in Onstead, MI. I know it hasn't really hit Oakland county but is there anywhere nearby the Onstead/Adrian area that may have it. Also, any tips for good beer stores in the area?

 

Lived in Adrian for a year. Only place besides meijer and country market that had any selection was super liquor 3. I was more into whiskey when I loved there though. Not a lot of options in general.

 

It's about 30min out of the way, but Woodstock Wine and Cheese in Devil's Lake, MI is worth checking out.

 

Might as well hit Toledo if we are talking 30 mins

I'm not sure if we're going to see the BA version here in OH...the non BA version is all over the place tho.

 

It hit AA this week at a few different places. Didn't seem to be flying off the shelves the way it sounds like in this thread, but I also wasn't paying close attention. I snagged one bottle for myself--I was more stoked about Vanilla Noir dropping.
