Does this stuff ever make it to NY?

I've seen One, Too, and Tres on shelves for a while. Haven't seen Fore yet either.

    Any thoughts on this?

    BA no.
Even the reg version can be tricky to get hands on in MI. My guess is that some will make it to NY but it won't be much.

New York gets VERY limited Kuhnhenn in general. We should feel lucky as they don't distribute to many other if any locations. More or less you'll find some stuff on tap, here on long island I've had/seen fluffed, fluffer gone wild, dripa and a few others. I've seen 2011 vintage bottles of regular 4D, Dark Heathen and Braggot. I've seen them in two stores but they were gone in a week or two and haven't seen them lately.

The Barrel aged one is Brewery only release and is limited so its sorta hard to land thru trading but nowhere near impossible..

He's referring to Dark Horse BAPt5 - unless I'm very much misunderstanding.

Beat me to it! It is indeed a Dark Horse brew, NOT Kuhnhenn.

Re: Kuhnhenn - there's usually stuff on tap somewhere in the city at all times. Not an issue for me. I had the BA Solar Eclipse once and it was magic.

Re: Pt5 - thanks for the info. A shame, really. I am often traveling around New England and farther south through Jersey, PA, DE, and MD. Better luck there?

I have only heard of people getting BA Pt5 (in the bottle) by going to Dark Horse's winter festival and standing in line for it. You can sample it if you go on their brewery tour. I have only seen it on tap at a local bar in East Lansing, MI back in 2010.

Agreed on bottles. I believe 1 or 2 places in Philly had it on tap last year for some specal events, and I have had it up in Boston at EBF weekend several times as well.

For the OP, in short, I would say we will not get bottles and would not plan on seeing it on draft either. If we did see it on draft, it would probably be 1 or 2 kegs total for a special event or two, and would be a mad house.

I think at the release party they let people buy 2 cases of it each, mayber per day, so my suggestion would be to try and trade for some. It is really worth it.

Thanks, working on a trade now, actually. I was lucky enough to score some BCBBW and BCBCS at a new store in my neighborhood, so I'm trying to trade some of that stuff.

Hit up a Michigan's Brewers Guild festival (4 per year). Seems like the last few I went to they had BBPt5 amongst other amazing BA brews.
