Again, not a stout, but Heirloom Pumpkin Barelywine from Almanac is A-mazing.

Anderson Valley Pinchy Jeek was a drain pour for me. I only paid $2-3. It was on clearance.

central waters headless heron is pretty solid. otherwise, lakefront's brandy barrel aged imperial pumpkin is probably my favorite.

Had one last night. The added vanilla probably stood out more than the barrel treatment. Frequently, I find that brandy barrel beers can be awfully rough, but that happily was not the case here. A smooth, if very sweet, pumpkin beer with all the expected note. Lots of vanilla, though.

While a fan of this beer, I still think Uinta Oak Jacked Pumpkin is my favorite of the BA pumpkin beers distributed in ATL. Heavy Seas The Great'er Pumpkin has been inconsistent. I really didn't care for it at all last year, but I thought it was amazing the year before that. When it's on, it is on!

Thanks for all the tips guys, definitely seems like pumpkin ales are alot more prevalent, which I've found a fair share of, really just craving a thick bourbon pumpkin stout!

I find Lakefront's Imperial Pumpkin Ale way too boozy fresh - the brandy barrel clobbers all other flavors. BUT...I cracked open my last bottle of last year's vintage this weekend and it was OUTSTANDING. So smooth, so flavorful, and just enough barrel and booze to compliment some great pumpkin notes.

Wasatch does a pumpkin stout called Black O Lantern. Very dark in color, with a super thick head. Spice, pumpkin, and malty flavors. Brewed in Utah, not sure on availability by state, but Im from Minnesota and can find Wasatch at most places with a decent craft beer selection. Don't believe its barrel aged, but is a great pumpkin stout.

If I were a brewer with barrels available for aging, pumpkin beer is not what I would put in them - and I like pumpkin beer.

Warlock is pretty good, not barrel-aged but the stout does more of the talking than the pumpkin. PumpKYn is super boozy and seemed like a better one to share than take down all yourself.
