BA Rasputin

I just picked one up at Total Wine Plantation, I had given up hope we'd see it this far south this year.

 

I saw some today, but the price was $20. I think I can a pass for now. Plenty of better cheaper beer out there.

 

People are saying it's at TW Sarasota behind the counter also today. Weird for a beer that sat on TW shelves for quite awhile the past couple years, but I guess the craft beer community isn't the same it was last year.

Correct, this is the shysty Le Jeune location, owned by the cousin of the UM location's store owner. So far UM SnS has been somewhat fair, though some bottles there are still way too marked up.

 

I've always wondered about that place. I think because of the lack of a real craft beer presence here they get that stuff in and it just sits there.

I've only been to El Carajo on 17th and they have a pretty decent selection(for a gas station) and occasionally some really unique stuff that's been long sold out anywhere. But again, I imagine for the same reason I mentioned above

 

Bx isn't expecting it anymore, unfortunately. They've been my source for this beer for years. Now I have to work to get it In fact, they told me I may have missed out on it already. Argh.

 

BA Rasputin was on the shelf at TW in Gardens on Wednesday April 2nd and was gone by the next day, except for 1 that someone hid (not that well) behind the GI. It was $20 a bottle and it looked like they had about 2 cases. It could be hanging around at some of the less visited shops.

 

Not sure if this information helps, but BA Rasputin was released in GA about 2-3 weeks ago. Not much came through--my store in ATL received one case. Good luck in your search.
