I received an Oak Barrel Aged Santa's Little Helper in a trade and was wondering why there is only the original and the Bourbon Barrel Aged variations capable of being reviewed? Is mine the same as the bourbon one?

    Thanks!

Red label is aged in bourbon barrels. I'm pretty sure the regular green label is aged in oak barrels

No. Green label is normal, no barrel/oak aging whatsoever. Red is always going to be barrel aged - they changed the wording on the label one year (don't recall exactly when), but Oak Aged is the same as Bourbon Barrel Aged.

The regular Green Label doesn't say anything about barrels, it's not aged in any type of wood or barrel.
The Red one says Ale aged in Oak barrels, and is in fact aged in bourbon barrels.

edit: Xul beat me to it.

For some reason green label Santa is silhouetted.

I drank it tonight and it was certainly bourbon barrel aged, quite tasty
