BA score vs. average rating

    Can someone explain to me the new format. The BA score and the average beer geek score. It just doesn't make sense. Say the BA score is an 89 but the average rating is a 4.21. Also I just reviewed a beer that had a 98 BA score but a average rating of 4.31?
