I plan on going down and meeting up with some friends @Brdlist and @jbriggs7 if anyone wants to plan on bringing a bottle or two to share at the release.

 

I plan on coming from DC, I was thinking about bringing OTWOA with me to share.

 

Although it might turn a day trip into an overnight trip, a bottle share at the release sounds most excellent to me! Let's rehash this closer to release date

 

Dude, we have the most epic bottle share every year. I just hope I can go this time around! September is a very busy month for me. Fingers crossed for an October release.

 

The bottle share for regular SC was ridiculous. We started on Friday at 7p and finished about 2p on Saturday... My liver hurt for a week.

I'll probably bring some Funky Buddha goodness to the party: Nib Smuggler, BA Muy Bonita, that sort of thing.

How has purchasing the beer been? Have you been able to purchase the allotment every year (which is 4, correct?). Thanks, my friend. This will be my first visit.

 

The beer is great but the bottle share is INSANE! It keeps getting better and better every year. Don't forget about the bottle share Friday night in the back of the brewery as well as Saturday morning. Can't wait and see everyone there!

 

It's never been a problem for me to get the allotment and more. However, based on the crowd at the last regular Sexual Chocolate release, I'd recommend lining up early if at all possible. That way you can be sure to get the full allotment, which is typically four bottles.

 

How does one join this bottle share you speaketh of @CraftEyeDoc ?

 

You show up either Friday night or early Saturday morning.

 

And by lining up early, you get to meet great folks like @brother_kenneth who accepted my lonesome self into their epic share last year! Hope I can make it up again this year and be better prepared!

What the others have said... plus bring some tasty beers to share. Friday night usually starts at 7ish but goes pretty much til close in the back of the brewpub, you have to bring bottles to share to get back there. Then Sat morning they let everyone in that gets a wristband around 8am and there is a scramble for tables. No worries if you have come alone, esp if you bring great beer, you can always jump in with a group but make sure you share. Plus if you are alone you will probably get talking with the people around you in line and make new friends. They will also have sausage biscuits for sale if you are hungry. Bottle sale begins at 10am.

 

Depending on when the release is, I just may have to visit the folks and crash your table again.

Yep. Straight outta the freezer. That's why I never get them.
