BA Shipwreck Porter

Binnys in River Grove had some last year which means every Chicagoland Binnys should get it (River Grove never has ANYTHING exclusively)

 

They still had a few as of last week. I like Arcadia a lot but I've never pulled the trigger on this one, a situation I'll have to rectify soon.

 

You should. I find many of Arcadia's beers to be good at best, but BA Shipwreck is excellent. By far their best.

 

shhhhhhh lets not make this beer difficult to find please LOL.

Peer pressure of the best kind. Their London Porter is an overlooked gem, and I look forward to trying the Shipwrecked.

 

Just be careful to check bottle dates/dust when you're there if you're considering buying IPAs or other time sensitive styles---turnover is not that great, and the employees often try to seem more knowledgeable then they actually are. As one guy said to me last week: "You should try Para-bola by Founders." Still, it's an oasis of variety for the area.
