I didn't see this posted yet, so here's the info on one of my favorite Minnesota releases:

The Final Countdown to Pre-Sales of the 750 ml Bottles starts now! Pre-Sales start at exactly Noon on the Winter Solstice - Sunday, December 21, 2014 - both online and in the Taproom.

Silhouette Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout is sold in bottles of 750ml, limit of 2 bottles per person, or 4 bottles per Mug Club Member (Mug Club members wishing to order more than 2 bottles, you must order directly in the taproom for your additional bottles - must prove that you are a current Mug Club member with current membership card, or must renew your membership at the time of purchase).

Also purchase your tickets to the Release Party on January 24, 2015 - Noon until 10pm. There may be additional bottles sold on the day of the event, so be sure to get your tickets to the event in case you want to purchase more!

Set the alarm on your phone, watch the countdown on our website, tie a string on your finger - whatever it takes so you don't miss out!

See you there! - Lift Bridge Brewery

I bought my ticket/four bottles lazily, about two weeks after they were put online last year. Anybody want to bet the over under in days/hours the tickets sell out this year?

Wasn't last year about 400 tickets? I guess the bonus about cutting the limit is more people will have a chance to get some... like my entire family and all my friends.

I say they last a few days. Probably won't be weeks like last year.

Don't think you can proxy though (I could be wrong), so you may need to pack up your family & friends, and haul them along for the ride.

I will just have to rent a party bus then!

I kind of hope they do what Indeed did with Rum King this year and just make a crap ton more so I don't have to have a huge debate with myself if I should open a bottle or not.

What happens at the event other than the ability to buy a bottle?

You drink beer, most importantly BA Silhouette. Last year they had BA Silhouette on nitro too, which I think the general consensus was the regular was better, sounded like the nitro masked a lot of the ba flavor.

Yeah. $5 pours of BA Silhouette are the best. Bummed about the lower bottle count, But totally for their idea of spreading the wealth. Just need to drink more on tap at the event !

Shit was phenomenal off the tap line back in the brewery.
For some reason it tasted much better than the line at the bar.

Probably would've never got my ass off the stool, but someone told us that the beer back there was better.
Thanks a ton Claire - you were a true hero that day! :-)

Agree, the nitro wasn't nearly as good. Bummed the bottle count is cut in half this year but I'm sure they are trying to share the wealth.

I'm bummed about the bottle limit going to 2 bottles too. I'm not into mules so I would just get 2 bottles. I'm debating if I want to drive out to Stillwater for 2 bottles when I still have several bottles left from 2012 & 2013. At least Lift Bridge allows you to pick up the bottles a few weeks after the go on sale date so I don't need to rush.

Yeah I can't remember if they carded when showing your ticket to match them up. I know they carded at the door for age verification, but I think they just scanned tickets and handed you your bottles.

Could be totally different this year though. Best bet would be to call or reach out to them via FB or email for clarification.

I thought they checked ID then highlighted/crossed your name off, but that was a year and about 800 some beers ago, so yeah, Id suggest either emailing them or FB'ing them.
