Last year was the first time they released BA Speedway in a few years. I would imagine it will be at least next year before it's released again, but I could be wrong.

Smokepot IS the source on that. I would trust what he says, he's got the inside scoop on Alesmith.

People already have their homeless mules lined up outside so if you aren't already in line, better put up an "ISO" now.

I only trust things smokepot23 tells me about 5 hours into a major beer festival/tasting.

I'm told the next one will not be handled the same way. The BA Wee Heavy release was just fine.

But that was Wee heavy, not Speedway.

Exactly. People don't generally get as worked up about Scotch ales as they do about imperial stouts. Though Alesmith Wee Heavy is a mighty fine beer.

I was referring to the fact that they did the ticket distribution completely different.

Yeah, I dunno how I missed that release :grimacing: ... that is one of my all time favorites, and I've only ever had like two ounces of it :slight_frown:

They should just keg it all when they do it next.
Limited & super desirable releases have become a nightmare, for the brewery, the retailers (if they get any), and the consumers.

Even just handing out wrist bands would have solved the issue last year. They are well aware of what a cluster it was last year, so hopefully it'll run smoother this time.

DONG, frankly, would be great. Keep it on tap for a few weeks at the tasting room.
