lulz, that last one was the shit show overlord is talking about. No ticket system has been done for BA Speedway. I vowed to not go to another BA Speedway release if they didn't change something (I know that makes many of you happy)
That would be fantastic. I'd love to see more breweries do online ticketing for special releases, especially leveraging someone else's technology rather than trying to do it themselves and having it crash and burn.
So, with tickets online, does this mean that we locals will be competing with people from all over California/US/where? If so, that sounds much worse than last year.
Note: My friend told me all of this. He went to the party, and spoke with Peter. I have no clue if any of this is correct, or if it has changed. Friend isn't a liar though.
I really like the one month to pick up idea. It actually gives me a chance to get a bottle. With the required matching ID stipulation, it will prevent proxy buying and keep the release for the most part local.
Sucks to pay a service fee to buy a bottle of beer, but it also sucked to get to AleSmith at 7:45 a.m. for the last Speedway release and only get one bottle thanks to line-cutters and mule hirers....
definitely. But if I don't have to hang out at alesmith missing half a day of work then the service charge is fine by me.The last speedway release sucked so I'll take any changes they've got in store if it keeps the douchebags at bay.The only caveat is that now it may be even harder to get a bottle if it's all done online ala black tuesday.
I've heard from the grapevine that they are waiting for approval on a new label for the BA speedway. They also want to do the paint-on type like the regular speedway version. So it sounds like it's pending other things outside their control.
