    Was divisive at a tasting last evening, I thought it was utter garbage, others defended its uniqueness.

    I think this picture sums up my thoughts on this beer

    Complex about sums it up. I got a lot of the chardonnay in the nose, and a lot of the funkiness in the initial taste. The aftertaste is interesting: a lot of fruit, some cherry from the oak. Definitely a very dry drink, which could just be the chardonnay barrel. I liked it, but I completely see where the split opinions come from.

    Tried to start a new thread but was insta-nuked. SoBro released today at the brewpub, $15 and limit 2/person. Coincidence on the timing to pawn off on unsuspecting FFF fanboys coming to DLD?

    Shortly after dld we'll start seeing tiberian inquisitor and sobro popping up all over on the iso:ft boards with people trying to dump these off on unsuspecting fff's fans. My friend barely stopped short of saying TI is bully guppy part 2...you've been warned.

    I could have sworn SoBro Batch 1 was $15-$20, since it was less expensive than the other BA releases for their anniversary party. Regardless, it was too expensive.

    Ah gotcha. Yeah I think I paid 15 for batch 1. What a damn boring beer. I kinda wish it was a little more offensive atleast so it could be a bit more memorable.

    I tell ya what, I'd much rather pay $15 for this beer again over the $25 or whatever I paid for Cuvee de SuckedAss and Biggs Asshole.

    I still have a cuvée de Viking! Maybe after sitting on it for 10 years, it will turn into an amazing sour. A man can only dream.
