Not to totally speculate, but since FFF BA beers have always been Brewery only one offs that are hand written on a generic bottle, perhaps they are getting ready for their BA releases to hit some shelves? It could explain the fact that they actually are making real labels for this one. I wonder if there a barcode on the label...

I feel like that is such a huge long shot....but there is a bar code on the Kill Your Boss. There was also one on Floyd d'Rue, but not Rue d'Floyd...

But even more important, when someone finally pops one of these, let us know if its any good. I agree with @Halfbrother83, ITNOS wasn't a fantastic beer and a BA Black IPA just doesn't get me all that excited, even thought it is in bourbon barrels. The Floyd D'Rue would have been much better in a bourbon barrel instead of the Rum barrels, might of actually balanced out the spices.

Rue D'Floyd on the other hand... now that stuff is wonderful. I wish I could have grabbed a case of that!

For real....too bad I only was able to get one :slight_frown:

Still haven't opened either of my Floyd d'Rue bottles.

Sorry to disappoint, but despite it being the same base, its no where near as good. Floyd D'Rue was mediocre at best. At least it got me pretty sloshed @ 14.5%.

I talked to John today that works the to-go counter like 60% of the time. He said they bottled more than six times as much Floyd D'rue than they did of Rue D'floyd. Picked up a Kill Your boss, I really liked ITNOS, I thought it was awesome fresh but I opened a bottle that got misplaced in the cellar over a year after its initial release and it actually aged awesome. Turned into a malty hopslam.

BA 3F releases are so silly. I don't think I've had one that was INCREDIBLE and they're all at least $35 nowadays.

And ironically, the majority of Murda'd was other breweries' beers.
