Just discovered these guys when I stopped in Lukas Liquors yesterday and picked up a bomber of their Telemark IPA and Switchback Amber. Drank their IPA yesterday and now onto the Amber. Really impressed with these guys, both beers are fantastic. What else should I seek out from them?
The other bottles are the Peak One Porter and Ptarmigan Pilsner. They are solid beers and solid movers on the shelf. At $3.50 it's a darn good deal. If you get a chance to try their maibock (May Bock) and Double IPA, do it
Yeah, it was the price point that convinced me to check them out. Given how much I enjoyed the IPA I will definitely give the IIPA a shot if I can come across it. Next time I come across the Porter I'll give that one a shot as well. Not a pilsner fan so not sure if I'll bother with that.
From the brewery they have seasonals not released elsewhere...in fact they (rarely) do growler re-fills. I've enjoyed their double IPA amongst others, and enjoy their regular IPA.
I was there last month and they were pouring a Breakfast Stout and Double IPA as their seasonals. Both were awesome! Would definitely recommend a trip to the brewery.
I remember seeing the Breakfast Stout was on tap at Freshcraft a couple months back. Never made it there for it though, now I am kicking myself. I'd love to make it up to the brewery but I don't have the funds to support such a trip, as it would require an over night most likely.
Isn't Alan the head brewer or i'm i thinking of someone else? If i remember correctly he brought a Barrel aged Barlywine to a tasting that was also fantastic. Think it took a few of us by suprise, Nice work!
Their bottled beers are solid and I liked the barleywine and black IPA I had on tap. You really can't beat $3.49 for a bomber.
