Back to bamberg

    I once had an early flight out of NUE and a bunch of luggage (my BikeFriday folding bicycle) and arranged a car service from Judenstrasse to the airport. It was €90. This was maybe 3 years ago. Just a datapoint to give you an idea of possible costs.

    I'm now confirmed for a Saturday to Monday in and out which if the flights are on time mean I land at 3.55pm Saturday so would be willing to spend the extra € to transfer by taxi to save time on the Saturday if it meant extra time for beer and also less hassle for our 11am flight home on the Monday. There's 3 of us so if it's say €65 each all in for the 2 way transfer I think it's well worth doing. Need to contact companies now though to find out.

    ah thats a lot earlier flight than mine was, maybe they're earlier at the weekend, i flew on a monday

    Yes, think it is. Just had confirmation that €195 return so basically €65 each and I'd thought that we would spend about €25 each anyway in terms of train and possibly a taxi to and from Bamberg station so for €40 it's gotta be money worth investing?

    well, its your money! i think if i was getting in at that time in the afternoon id just take the train, i think with the right ticket combination you could get there and back for about 15 euro each, but hey im skint. if you can afford it and the time in bamberg is the most important thing to you go for it. let us know how it goes
