Backlash Riot DIPA

Excited to find a bottle of this, I really enjoyed 2 of 3 - what would compare it too?

 

A decent local IPA - but I think I preferred the Amarillo and Mosaic versions a bit more. Looking forward to seeing more of their IPA's on tap at Bison County in the future...

 

I liked Riot the best out of the 3-beer series - But my favorite DIPA from Backlash is still the original "Salute". I really wish they'd just do Round #2 of that in 2014... Pretty tasty, and I'd love to get another crack at it.

 

I have one in the fridge and planned on opening it tonight. My favorite beer from them thus far has been Salute as well.

 

Just cracked this. Down here in Marshfield they come in at an affordable 7.99 so I can take the chance on Backlash. I think Salute was the best one....the other Uprising beers were good but not entirely drinkable.

 

I found this one incredibly drinkable but I love galaxy hops and liked it a lot more than the mosaic version but didn't try the amarillo.

Everyone has their favorite hops but I think it's hard to argue Backlash has a good DIPA recipe going.

 

Riot grew on me after the raw hop character settled in.

But Choas is out on draft now - and OMFG its good. A little less malty than the prevoius three and bigger punch of hop flavor. Might be the best MA brewed ipa out there right now.

 

I cannot wait to try some Chaos.

 

brewed @ paper city in holyoke.

there's a brewery in CT, thomas hooker i think, that contracts for a number of other breweries. they pour everyone's offerings in the tap room. i wonder if paper city does this as well?

 

Spotted some bottles today. Had a December 2013 date so left it on shelf. Is this the only batch out there? Would like to try in a little bit fresher

 

Anybody going to the launch party at the East End Grille tonite?

 

I agree 100%. This beer is incredible.
