Hey all, Im a midwest boy that just moved to Eugene, OR. I am wondering if we will see Founders Backwoods Bastard. I picked up a Breakfast stout a couple weeks ago at a safeway, but have not seen Backwoods around town. Any insight would be great. Thanks!
Did you check Bier Stein or 16 tons. Between the two of them, those are your best bets for finding BB in Eugene. If Bier Stein or the MofC on Willamette doesn't have it, you may need to drive up to PDX to find it. However. my guess is that Bier Stein will likely carry it. Just my two cents of course, but you've moved to a MUCH better town for craft beer. Have fun.
Is Backwoods Bastard on the shelves anywhere in the NW right now? I've run out of my stock from its last appearance, and was thinking it would show up again pretty soon. But I haven't seen it yet.
Question...didn’t want to start a new post. I picked up a couple of 4 packs this weekend while visiting the Portland/Couve area. My question is has anyone aged this beer and if so, how’d it turn out? I am curious because the carry case says drink fresh (maybe that is on all founder’s cases?). The abv would indicate that it could be aged.
This is consistent with my experience as well. In fact, I think the beer improves with a year or two of bottle age.
