I love this bastard. Hopefully soon.

 

I asked Founders if it was to land on November 1, and they said thereabouts.

 

Nov 1 is the street date.

 

Best guess I've heard is Nov 1st.

 

Anybody age this gem? I have one left from last year that ill pop open soon and was curious.

 

I've aged a few of them....the bourbon mellows but you can still taste it...it's fantastic fresh and equally fantastic (but different) aged about a year

 

I traded for some 2011 a bit ago, and IMO it was better fresh. On tap it's an amazing brew, much better IMO than out of a bottle. Same with KBS, everyone wants to age it, but IMO it's also better fresh, I'm not much into mellow I want all that coffee sharpness mixed with the Bourbon.

 

i hadn't thought that would happen but now i'm going to try and find one about a year old, and when the new one is out, try them side by side. hopefully @TheBeerTrappe , my home away from home in lexington KY

 

I live in Michigan, a couple hours away from Founders and we wont get any until November when they release it

 

Already here in the DC metro area!

I picked up a four-pack in SC on 10/20. Fresh batch. I'll refrain from mentioning the store in case it was released before the official date. Great beer.

 

A friend told me he picked up Backwoods Bastard this weekend at Frugal MacDoogal in Fort Mill, SC.

 

Wow, but I'm not in distribution they must ship the farthest first at any rate enjoy your bastards' lol

 

Big Founders display at Total Wine stores. Included Breakfast Stout and a few others, too.

 

Yeah, according to a email Founders is not releasing it around here untill November 1st

 

Bought a 4 pack and a growler fill last week in SC

 

Today is the day, any word on where and when this will be in Raleigh?
