Why would NYC have gotten so much barleywine and coffee, but gotten so little of the backyard rye? I didn't hear of a single place in Brooklyn that got it.

Because of the quantity of bottles produced. There was significantly less Backyard Rye produced that BCBCS/BCBBW. Production was equal to prior years of Cherry Rye/Vanilla.

Backyard Rye is still popping up in the Mid-Hudson Valley, don't know if that helps, though.

I get that - it seemed like NYC was flush with BW/Coffee while NJ posters couldn't get it at all. Then people started posting about being able to find Backyard Rye in NJ much more easily, but aside from Top Hops and a couple other places, it seems like NYC barely got it. the ratios seemed out of proportion.

Hope it hits LI, I only heard of it hitting 3 places in NYC: Top Hops, Malt & Mold and Beer Table Pantry

Amazing. What was MSRP on one of these? Probably in the $16-20 range I'm guessing?

I'm happy to pay a premium to get hold of something, especially if it's at an independent store , but I can't ever bring myself to buy anything from there, even though I work very close.

I think I paid around $22 at Top Hops. BTP is notorious for price gouging. I will never purchase a beer from them on principle alone.

Yeah I saw Fruet for $51 I believe, and Pannepot Grand Reserva for ~$25. I'd bought something once from them prior to that, but vowed never again when I saw these

That's incredible. Broadway Dive was selling it for $19 plus tax/deposit.
