So my friends are having their annual bacon party, in which everyone brings a bacon dish or drink. I was thinking about bringing a bacon flavored beer. Any recommendations? Can I find it near DC?

How soon is the party? If you have some big guns to trade with you can post up on the trading page ISO: Funky Buddha Maple Bacon Coffee Porter. It just got released in growlers to a small group of Founder's Club members. It's fantastic, although this new batch seems a little off. Still worth it though.

Other than some eclectic beers what other "bacon" beverages are there?

I can't help much for suggesting a bacon beer, but I can help with making beer candied bacon. Reduce 12-24 ounces of a stout into a syrup and add brown sugar, cayenne, and black pepper. Meanwhile lay out strips of thick cut bacon on a cookie sheet and bake at 375F for 15 minutes. Flip and brush glaze. Bake for another 5 minutes. Rinse and repeat until you have 2 coats of sugar per side. Once cooled caramelized sugars will harden.

For easy clean up, cook bacon on a cooling rack with parchment paper underneath to prevent sugars from sticking to cookie sheet.
