I just opened a bottle of revolution's a little crazy that I bought today at Binnys bloomingdale and it was bad, tasted like sour champagne and was extremely carbonated. I've had a little crazy before on tap and in bottles and on draft and I know that this wasn't any good. A bad batch? Maybe infected? The date on the bottle was JUL 17 13. Anyone else have this same experience?

I wish I knew it was infected because I refused to buy any due to it no longer being in cans.

I've noticed a big difference between the bottles that recently hit the market and what's currently on draft. ALC from a bomber has an incredibly sweet, super fruity nose -- almost like a jolly rancher. I don't think it seemed any more or less carbonated but I couldn't get past the candy taste. I think I had two bombers and found them to be similar. At $5 per, I didn't mind it too much. On draft, it's been much closer to how I remember drinking it last spring.

The infected stuff and a sharp nasty lemon sourness. A sour in a bad way :/. I did email Rev and they are looking into it. I hope the cans come back. Such a great canned beer!

Wow, had a bomber last week and the wife and I didn't like. But had enjoyed it last year, thought it was just us, glad to hear its a infection and crazy will be back crazy good again

I've had both bombers before and on tap, and this is the first time I've had this happen with any revolution brews. A little crazy is a local favorite of mine so I was surprised.

Update: revolution contacted me this afternoon about the email I sent (last night before I posted this thread) and they are looking into the batch and offered to send me new bottles or a gift card to the brewery or brewpub, either of which I thought was pretty awesome of them.

I'm still gonna keep drinking revolution and I'm sure they'll figure the problem out and we'll get the little crazy back we all know and love. Cheers.

Thanks, I emailed them before I made this thread. They responded this afternoon and were very polite and apologetic.

I also emailed them, and they were very nice and understanding. Just another reason to mark them down as one of my favorite breweries.

The cans and growlers I had in Spring were awesome.

The two July 17 bombers I had were off. They weren't awful. I still drank 'em. I could tell something was off though.
