Bad batch of Supplication?

    So i just opened a bottle of Supplication, bottled on 10/8/2015, that i got in a trade. Poured burnt orange in color leaning towards a brown color. Tasted like burnt asphalt. Inside of the bottle smelt like piss. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

    Before going after the brewery. Go after the person who traded it to you.

    Not really going after anyone. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem. Thanks for the input!

    I've had that batch, multiple times. I'd say it's a much better chance that something happened to that particular bottle.

    Thanks @chrisjws i saw what seemed like a little bit of mold on the bottom of the cork. Must be just something off about this bottle. Not properly stored? I dont know.

    If you ever taste a beer that isn't up to standard, make sure you start attacking individuals. Preferably bare knuckled.

    More like not probably cleaned. The bottle could have somehow missed a crucial cleaning step along the bottling line or somehow contained a spoilage organism that led to this event. Contact Russian River, they'll email you back.

    Had Supplication many times. I suggest contacting the brewery to see if anything has been reported.
