Hi All, I bought a bottle of the Boulevard Chocolate Ale a couple of weeks ago at Leary's in Newburyport and it was bad! Didn't get the infected smell or taste....but there was definitely something very very wrong. Anyone else have this problem?
There was a recall on a couple of the batches. You can read more here: http://www.boulevard.com/beers/chocolate-ale-refund-announcement/ I'm not sure it was outright "infected" so much as it just didn't come out right.
My friend had the same experience. You may want to contact Boulevard and let them know, I'm sure you'll get a refund.
Tom at Julio's told me to turn mine in and do a trade or get my cash back - no muss no fuss - traded off for a Tank 7 which is my favorite anyway.
