So, I'm not a huge IPA guy and really don't know the rules. I have a box I owe in a BIF and my target has Founders Harvest Ale as a want. I have some but it was bottled on 10/4/12. It is good to me but I'm not really a great judge of IPA's either, lemme know. Thanks.
I'm sure it's still drinkable, but to me the whole point of Founders delicious Harvest Ale is being able to taste those amazing hops, which have probably all but faded by now. I'd find a fresh local IPA he can't get and send that instead.
I'd fulfill the other requirements of the BIF first and throw it in anyway. A four month old IPA is still gonna taste fine, and he may just be happy to get the tick.
