Bad Trader Alert: mikeyv35

How many people has this d-bag screwed over now? Bad Trader list would have told you to stay away from this guy. Very unfortunate.

 

I know Mike he is a straight shooter, going through some craziness with job and move etc., I know this doesn't excuse him, just wanna say I am sure he will make good on this if you can hang in there and keep trying to reach him. I know there is no excuse for bad communication, but if anyone could have an excuse right now it is Mike.

Go ahead and roast me now, but I will point out last time I stuck up for someone, and then I got roasted, that person made good.

 

I'm not sure he's ever actually screwed someone over, but this is a guy who "life" seems to happen to over and over and over again.

Personally, I'd never trade with the guy, & I wish people like this would just get out of the trading game if they don't have the time & ability to keep their commitments in a timely manner.

OP, seems like he usually comes out of the woodwork when these threads are started, so I hope history repeats itself & you get your beer. mikeyv35.

 

This guy is definitely a bad trader and not to be trusted. He ripped off one of the participants in a Fantasy Football BIF I was in back in the day (didn't send bottles he was suppose to, bait & switch) and I've written him off ever since. Anything thinking about trading with this dude should think again.

Why do people need to create a thread to call this guy out again & again for him to make it right? Leave him negative feedback and be done with it so no one falls victim to this guys "busy life" as a bodybuilder.

 

Ah shit, good point...easy way for bad traders to avoid negative feedback...simply don't accept!

lol yup but I know bodybuilding is way more important then police officering because that's what's on his profile He's also "Co-President/Founder of Rarity Inc.".

 

I think the mods indicated they could help in these situations and add it in if it occurred prior to setting up the feedback system. Or at least I recall reading about that in the original thread outlining the process and Todd answering various questions. May help to send Todd a BM and see if this is possible.

In any case, this is a hobby and meant to be fun and if this guy is so busy with life he should not be trading in the first place. At best he is a flake who will make good when his feet are held to the fire and at worse he is a thief which I find ironical given his said profession....

 

If we all want the same end goal here (the alleged bad trader to make good) maybe we should follow superstition and roast you for sticking up for him, at least last time it worked

I think it's what you just said. I had a trade with him. Dropped off my box at FedEx got into work and saw a bad trader thread about him that started that morning. Went back to FedEx and got my box. Messages him and said I'd still trade, but I wouldn't ship until he shipped. About 3-4 weeks later got a message that he shipped. I shipped. He included a bunch of extras. In the end it worked out. I think he'd eventually come through on a trade, just may take too long.

 

I had a good trade with him in Oct. No complaints.

 

He's been on my personal Do Not Trade With list since that last episode. Refreshing to see nothing has changed.

 

This guy again? Jesus Christ. He is the king of "something came up and I'm too busy."

He might eventually come through, but shitty communication and making people wait MONTHS for their boxes when you already have yours makes you 100% a bad trader.

 

Cut the guy some slack they just found a link between memory loss and anabolic steroids.

Ok, time to put this nonsense to rest! Yes, LGB362 has every right to be upset about the package he is owed. I am not upset with him at all! Not that it matters, I owe him a package regardless of the amount, but I sent him a 6 bottle large format cellar clean box for only one bottle of Natty Greene's American Sour 2013. I was in the midst of moving and moving my cellar plus had about 10 trades all going out at once, so I did not pack the box as well as I usually do. Needless to say, a bottle must have broke and FedEx contacted me saying the shipment was damaged in transit and it was confiscated. Actually, they sent me a letter. I am settled now in the new house and in a new position at work and I will make good on the bottles I owe LGB362. Plus, I did not crack the Natty Greene's so I am going to send it back to him with the bottles for the inconvenience.

As for the bad trader comments by uninvolved others, I think you are going a bit crazy. Yes, I have done about 300 trades and have never stuck anyone for beer in those 300. Yes, a few times I have had shit come up and it took me a long time to get a few people their beer, but they always got it. If this makes me a bad trader, then that's what I am I guess. Have made tons of good friends and trading partners in the 300 and have had lots of fun making them. If you want to look at my tardiness on a few boxes and decide to not trade with me then don't. Unfortunately, the new BA world with the new trader rating system will not reflect the past 297 or so good trades I made where I was not late and people were thrilled with their boxes.

Now, on to this Sean character. I guess the only thing I can legally say on BA without getting kicked of is this guy is a straight up dick! For one, I have never been involved in a Fantasy Football BIF in my beer trading career, what the fuck is this guy talking about? I was involved in a White Whale trading group run by him and his little Midwest buddies that feel they are the utmost authority on what is rare. Big mistake getting involved in these! In both White Whale clubs I got 2 close to impossible targets from him and his buddies. In the first I sent an amazing box with tons of whales with Wooden Hell being one of them. Ironically, I traded my other Wooden Hell prior to the first White Whale to another Midwest guy that I can't remember. Basically, what I am trying to say is they set it up so their little circle got 2 Wooden Hells off of me by how they aligned the targets, which I am still a bit salty about. For the second White Whale my target was Masterski (whom I really like), for those of you that know Alex know this is a rough target because the man has sampled just about everything under the sun. Anyway, I had a lot of fun on a 2-3 month beer scavenger hunt trying to fill out an amazing box off of his wants list. I sent a rough list of what I was sending to the White Whale committee run by Sean and his buddies for their approval, lol! I never understood the point of this because the purpose of the White Whale was suppose to be to send your target whales and tanned whales off of their wants list. The box is suppose to be personalized to the target and get them rare beers that they want, not what the committee deems to be rare. So in the end, I sent the 12 bottle shipper with the original contents and at the last minute decided to swap out one bottle for another because I personally thought Masterski would appreciate it more, he likes obscure stuff. I cannot even remember the bottle I took out, but I replaced it with Confounded Mr. Sysyphus from Pretty things. Alex got his box and raved about how impressed and happy he was with the contents and how personalized my box was to him. He was blown away by the obscure beers on his wants list that I was able to track down and made all these comments in the White Whale thread, which made me feel good about the work I had put in. Next thing I know, this dick head Sean reaches out to me and tells me I sent a bullshit bottle in place of what I was suppose to send and that he does not want me in the White Whales anymore. I think he said "some bullshit bottle called Confounded Mr. Sysyphus" , of which he knew nothing about at the time because Pretty Things was still newer on the scene. At that time CMS was retired by Pretty Things and was the only beer they ever retired. It had like 40-50 wants and only 1 got which was me. The beer was rated well and was on Masterski's wants list and with him being from the Midwest I thought he would appreciate an east coast rarity, which he did. When I asked Sean if he had ever sampled my bullshit bottle all I heard was crickets, because he had not. I also asked him if he wanted to sample CMS would he have the ability to acquire it? I heard crickets again and told him no you couldn't because nobody has it in the east let alone the Midwest. In the end, him and I got into a pissing match and I told him to go fuck himself and his little White Whale Club! I also told him, my only concern was my target who was pleased with his box. I would never dream of dealing with this asshole again, so I am not going to lose any sleep over his negative remarks about me.

I don't really understand where my being a police officer for NYPD fits into this mess, but the reason I put bodybuilding as my occupation is because I really don't like to advertise myself as a PO too much, especially on a beer website. Plus, bodybuilding is my real passion and I do compete and aim to make it more of an occupation. By the way Sean, when are you going to cut your big bloated ass down and try to step on stage?

Back to the topic at hand, I will get the beer to LGB362 that he is owed plus his Natty Greene's back for his inconvenience as I stated above. No excuses, my box broke in transit and I should have replaced it by now.

 

One more thing, you guys are hilarious! I am not on any bad trader lists because I have never stuck anyone on beer, check my history which I know all of you do. All I have ever been guilty of is being very late on 2-3 occasions out of 300.
