Bad Trader Alert - @Quickicks

Awesome, blame the victim.Given the bad trader thread is on you and the fact you can't seem to juggle life and beer trading, I would say maybe beer trading isn't for YOU!

Also, good work at insulting the mods too as you defend yourself, you are really making a whole lot friends here.

 

All I know is this. Garret is a personal friend of mine and a great dude all around. And I'm not saying this because he asked me to. He and I have been to multiple out of town releases and festivals together and I can honestly say he's one of the better friends I've made through this "craft beer scene." I've had the dude stay over at my house on a few occasions even. The man is beyond generous and I've seen him hook up complete strangers on numerous occasions. All that said, sounds like life got in the way and at least he's admitting his fuck ups. I'd encourage everyone to put the pitchforks away and let the man make it right. As a person who has very recently been screwed on a trade, I can absolutely understand the frustration. But again, I have complete faith that Garret will make this right.

 

While he may be a "great dude all around", the fact remains that it took being called out here to get him to make good on trades. It's not like he was unaware of people trying to get in touch with him until now. If this was a contest for fabulous house guest or kindest person to strangers, yeah, he might win. But he's going to rightfully end up as a do not trade with person for many here. And he's admitting fuck ups while at the same time taking shots at those people. "Making things right" for all the wrong reasons.

 

Thanks for pointing this out. I noticed it too. In one paragraph he says he got in over his head, too many trades, couldn't afford it, couldn't keep track of his deals, excuse excuse excuse. Then in the very next paragraph he insults the guy he screwed and says maybe he shouldn't trade if he can't handle it.

Sounds like a real gem.

Almost every bad trader on here was once a "great dude" right up until the minute he screwed someone on a deal.

 

Stop crying and trying to deflect your screw up. No one is muting you, or deleting this comment. You can keep "name dropping" about your personal report to the Brothers but they don't care about your beef with the moderation, or you not following the rules. I would bet some beers that they wouldn't care to listen if you ran into them at a bar. Petty things, my friend.

Your warning rapsheet, and your obvious trading/communication skills speak much louder than the finger pointing and boo-hoo story.

 

I am being out of line? All I ever asked for was for you to communicate with me the delays on your end. I haven't heard from you in a month. I've repeatedly asked you to contact me and you couldn't even be bothered. But you were still on here checking your messages and checking the forums. I have the tracking information to prove that my boxes arrive within a week of each other and any delay or beer that was not in the original offer was agreed upon before you accepted the trade. It never want to got to this point for me if you just want to let me know what was going on with a quick message. That's all.

 

But it's only $150 brah

 

Ideal solution to this one. Time to shut this one down. Lots more lessons to be learned here about communication, for sure.
