    For what it's worth, I was aware of this guideline and as noted in my previous post, I'm not leaving any feedback.

    My inquiry to the mods was mostly about how to handle this thread in terms of adding it to the Bad Traders forum (as a resolved cautionary tale) or if it needed to be closed from additional comments.

    @LambicPentameter

    My apologies for the *short* unexplained comment from last night. You are right, as others have mentioned as well, our system is not perfect. It does have a few loop holes unfortunately.

    Things have changed over the years, like anything else in life, and unfortunately there seems to be this trend that hand shakes, verbals, and trade requests seem to no longer hold the value that most of us grew up with as a *person's word*....you know...follow through. The days when addys were exchanged and the trade was as good as gold...no longer exist as they once did.

    We as moderators can not get involved in every trade thats accepted but not completed, and by completed I mean beers shipped by atleast one party...simply because we cant make (force) someone to follow through on their word....especially when no beers have been shipped like this particular case.

    Thats why we have *trade at your own risk*.

    I know it wont fix your situation and others like it. What we will do is edit the title and move to the *Bad Trader* forum because the trader has *multiple* bad trading behaviors and to me, you, and others...enough is enough.

    So an exception is certainly warranted.

    Cheers!

    @LambicPentameter

    Did you by chance end up receiving any beers through this whole ordeal from the trader in question?

    @dmbforever I'm glad you asked. I did receive a box from @djkuback containing the featured beer from the original trade that he was to send plus one other beer.

    In my mind, the delay/hassle does not entitle me to free beer, so I boxed up the featured beer from my side of the original trade with one other and I'll be dropping it off at FedEx tomorrow. I had hoped to send it out today, but it was not meant to be.

    I just sent him a BM to let him know I got the beers and provided the tracking number for the box I'm dropping off.

    I can only insinuate that everything has been resolved here...better late than never.

    For the record, the trader in question did message me taking fault on the matter and informed me that he was sending his box.

    That is why the thread was re-opened and I posed the question to @LambicPentameter to confirm he received said box.

    Glad this worked out in the end. Certainly the trader in question does not have a great track record to say the least, but I cant take away the fact that he's atleast come through to complete his portion of the trade.

    Hopefully one of these times they do it right from the start and won't be in this forum....and actually learn something.

    Guess wil see...

    Cheers!
