Bad trader Elivictus

Man... 30+ trades and I'd managed to avoid deadbeat traders, until now.

I reached out to @Elivictus on August 30th to offer my requested Black Tuesday and Grey Monday regarding a trade for his Sunday Brunch and Morning Bell. He was quick to respond and we proceeded to move forward with the trade. Addresses were exchanged and we made arrangements to go ahead and ship out the following week to accommodate his schedule and the holiday. Unfortunately, I had to head out of town abruptly and communicated back to him that I would ship his box out as soon as I got could when I returned Friday, which he was fine with. I arrived back Friday and let him know I'd be shipping the following day. He replied back that he'd go ahead and ship his out on the way to work (presumably) the same day. So, I shipped the box out the next day and sent him over the tracking info. I didn't hear back from him for a couple of days at which point he apologized, stated that he had been busy and that he'd include some Trillium from a recent drop as extras. He also said that he'd send his box the following Tuesday. Didn't hear back from him Tuesday. Well, my box was delivered and picked up Wednesday and a follow up from him stated that his GF had dropped off the box and that he'd have tracking info later for me..that was the last I ever heard from him. He logged in once (as far as I can tell) between then and now to apparently remove his info and effectively close his account.

So, I am pretty much relegated to the reality that he likely has dined and dashed on me. I've left the appropriate feedback, but have a feeling it's in vain as I am assuming he's pulled all info from his account and is gone. I'm posting this in hopes that the Admins can take further actions on this account should the account be active and maybe even reach out to him as well if that's the case. If not, then I'm also hoping that they can (possibly/somehow) prevent him from opening additional accounts and doing this to other BA traders.

Been happy to see a lull in the Bad Traders posts; never would have thought that I would be creating a post in here and subsequently breaking the silence! Live and learn on this one....

 

I've reached out to all of the previous traders and they were all VERY responsive, which was awesome! Several had numbers from him, but the two that were provided were disconnected. Sounds like this guy either uses a burner of hates people getting a hold of him; I wonder why ;-)

So, I was able to dig around and did find that the Untapped feed is apparently his. While I haven't seen a check in yet for anything I've sent him...it's quite apparent that this is the guy.

Would love to see this one come to a happy ending, but I'm not holding my breath.

 

Yeah, I'd say that at this point there isn't a box on its way to me... Both FedEx and UPS confirmed as much. Can probably slide the scale over from looking to screw me over to totally screwed me over! These kinds of guys baffle me... Am hoping that I happened to be in possession of the only two bottles of BT and GM that were bad that year

He has a fairly common name and no Facebook page. His Untapped feed has led to some friends that I might reach out to, but there isn't enough out there to allow me an avenue to reach him directly.

I've reached out to all of his previous traders and they know that this guy's a total scammer. Am hoping that the mods can also help ensure that he doesn't pop up in BA in the near (or distant) future. I'll likely also reach out to some bad trader groups on FB to make sure that the word gets out. Guy works in the beer industry...totally pathetic that he (or anybody) would resort to this.

 

Judging by the look of the guy, I think god's seen to the appropriate revenge already, lol! Hey, I appreciate you digging into this a little deeper. Any and all info is helpful.

 

Could have been better worded on my part in that they all NOW know that this guy is a scammer. Almost all of them had legitimate trades with him with only one having a seemingly less than ideal interaction before he went straight thief.

 

I've confirmed his place of employment and am going to reach out to him today in hopes that he will man up and take accountability for his actions. Am wholly skeptical he will, but I want to take an adult approach to this in lieu of the trader, who obviously isn't.

Ultimately, I'm hoping that there's a way to make it much more difficult for him to set up an account in BA and do this again to others in the community. Appreciate everyone's assistance and interest!
