I was talking @jnorton1993 about a trade on 1/19/16. I sent him a trade request the same day. A week later he asked if the trade was still on. I told him yes I've been waiting a week for you to accept my trade request. Later that day he accepts. And sends me his info. Instead of sending the next day we agree on shipping Monday so it doesn't sit on a truck over the weekend. ( That was on Thursday night. ). I told him I would get him fresher stuff the next day so shipping later wouldn't effect the beers age. He agrees Messaged him 3 days later about shipping out on the agreed a day.

24 hrs later he says. I forgot about this I have plenty of zombie dust sorry. And that's it

Well judging from your negative feedback you say he backed out, where as in this thread it doesn't mention anything about him backing out...

So... no beer left anyones hands, right?

Just an agreed trade, and then he backed out after accepting?

IMO- I'd put it as neutral feedback. It'll still ding his numbers, but put in there backed out at last minute before shipping.

I think he is not a bad trader, but does deserve bad feedback (with appropriate explanation).

In no way were expectations met so I don't think he deserves neutral or good feedback. However, you aren't out any beer and he isn't a thief, so he's not a bad trader.

It would've been interesting if you hadn't seen his message and shipped what he would've done.

I think the feedback you have left is all that is needed. There is nothing this thread can resolve since you aren't missing beers and didn't ship. The feedback seems warranted, and you have made it very clear he backed out, so not sure what else to say - a bad trader thread probably isn't going to get the trade completed...

If OP went out of his way to get beers he would have not normally purchased then he is out time and money. Once a trade request is accepted it is the expectation to follow through with said trade unless both parties agree to cancel the deal. He is absolutely a Bad Trader IMO.

Actually that is a really good point - I totally didn't think of that. If the OP made a trip to FFF / bought the beers to order for the trade then yup - I completely agree - Bad Trader thread is absolutely warranted.

I just want to thank everyone for their feedback.

I'm probably in the minority here, but (IMHO) once that *trade request* button is hit and your trade partner doesn't follow through...they are absolutely a *Bad Trader* in my book irregardless if any beers were exchanged. What happened to the good ole days where please & thank you were said at the dinner table, men opened up doors for ladies, and a good ole * handshake* or *verbal* sealed an agreement. The trade request is there to honor an agreement. It's the principle that matters, and backing out is most certainly *bad form*....unless your trade partner gives you a very "legitimate/ honest" reason.

Fair enough on the points- I'm coming from plenty of boohoo stories of ppl upset they didn't get a deal closed s d want to pull the fire alarm over not winning.

Leave the feedback as is- agreed that if you went and got beer for someone. Packed it up and planned to send, and they accepted a trade request there is no going back.

@dmbforever @FATC1TY can you put the link to this thread to @jnorton1993 profile page? This usually gets the trader-in-question to respond to their bad trader thread. Also, he has 1 pending and 6 open trades currently. Assume one of the open trades is the one with @local_idiot_213.

And just so we are all clear - you then did a shopping trip to track the half a case of Zombie Dust down correct? You basically picked the beers up to order?

That was the implication of the earlier post... That said, even if you just ran over town half a case of zombie dust is a PITA to get if you don't live by the brewery...
